* Abstract acceptance will be informed via email (by 3/10/2024),
including the assigned panel number for poster display (Poster ID).

** All abstracts / posters will assigned a slot for Oral Presentation. Date and time of presentation will be informed later.

  • Send your abstracts to Online Abstract Submission in word file.

  • Selected abstracts will be considered for publication in International Journal of Cardiology (IJC).- abstract supplement.

  • Best poster presentation for original study only.

  • Please read carefully the submission format (APCU 2024 Abstract Template) in word file in a link HERE or in form field.

  • Before submission, please ensure that you have checked the box “I have read and agree to the abstract submission disclaimer and terms and condition above”

Abstracts Submission Guideline

Criteria for abstract submission:

  1. Do email to secretariatcardiousm@gmail.com for notification.

  2. The abstract must be written in English

  3. All abstracts must be submitted online via our website in word file, following the “APCU 2024 Abstract Template”. Abstracts submitted via email, fax or post will not be accepted.

  4. Abstracts must be submitted by 11:59 PM (Malaysia Time) on Saturday 17th August 2024. Late submissions will not be accepted.

  5. Title: Please capitalise each word except prepositions; such as ‘and’, ‘for’, and etc.

  6. Author and Co – authors: The first name is the presenting author. If more than one author is listed, please match the authors and institutions using numbers.

  7. Please use write first name / middle name in full, use initial for surname.

  8. Affiliations: Department, institution/hospital/organisation. Do not include the address.

  9. Evidence of paid/free English editing must be submitted. If the submission poster/abstract was checked by an English language experts then his/her testimonials must be attached. Certificate Example:

      

  1. Layout: The abstract must be in a single paragraph containing not more than 350 words (no table or graph allowed)

 

Guidelines For Poster Presentation/Display

1. Setting up, presentation, and dismantle:

  • Location: TBA  Booth Display Area, next to secretariat room on the 6th Floor.

  • Posters must be set up at the assigned panel based on poster ID.

  • Set up date/ time: before 12 pm on 18th October 2024

  • Dismantle date/ time: before 2 pm on 20th October 2024.

2. Poster size:

  • The size of poster should be printed using this dimension: 0.9m (W) x 1.5 (H) with poster ID.

  • Poster printing requirement: the abstract title, presenters and co-author’s name together with the institution must be printed at the top right hand side of the poster.

  • Presenters are not required to bring scissors / tape.

Submission Terms and Conditions

  1. Abstracts are subjected to approval by the scientific committee and will be accepted upon full paid registration of the presenting author as an attendee of the 15th APCU@USM 2024.

  2. Any abstract that has been presented orally or as a poster at previous meetings- nationally or internationally will not be accepted.

  3. Accepted abstracts will be considered for publication in International Journal of Cardiology.

  4. The decision of the Organising Committee is final.

  5. Incomplete abstract submission will not be accepted.

  6. The authors will receive the email notification of abstract acceptance / rejection by 3rd of October 2024. The email will include information on the presentation time, date, and venue.

  7. The presenting authors must register for the congress before the event date (18th October 2024)

  8. Evidence of paid/free English editing must be submitted. If the submission poster/abstract was checked by an English language experts then his/her testimonials must be attached. Failure to do so will result in rejection for publication in IJC.

  9. All original studies must provide ethical approval certification.
