Abstract acceptance will be notified via email by 3 October 2025, including the assigned panel number for poster display (Poster ID).
The date and time of presentation will be informed later.
- Submit your abstract via the Online Abstract Submission portal in Word format.
- Selected abstracts will be considered for publication in the British Medical Journal (BMJ): Open Heart Journal.
- The Best Poster Presentation award applies to original studies only.
- Please read the submission guidelines carefully. Use the APCU 2025 Abstract Template (Word format), available via the link [HERE] or in the form field.
- Before submission, please ensure that you have ticked the box:

Abstracts Submission Guideline
Criteria for Abstract Submission:
- For notification purposes, please email the Secretariat at secretariatcardiousm@gmail.com.
- The abstract must be written in English.
- All abstracts must be submitted online via our website in Microsoft Word format, using the APCU 2025 Abstract Template.
Submissions via email, fax, or post will not be accepted. - The submission deadline is Friday, 29 August 2025, at 11:59 PM (Malaysia Time).
Late submissions will not be entertained.
Formatting Instructions:
- Title: Capitalize the first letter of each word, except for prepositions (e.g., and, for, of).
- Author and Co-authors:
- The first listed name is considered the presenting author.
- If there is more than one author, match each author to their respective institution using superscript numbers.
- Write the first and middle names in full, and use initials for the surname.
- Affiliations: Include the department and institution/hospital/organization only.
Do not include the full address. - Layout: The abstract must be written in a single paragraph containing no more than 350 words.
Tables, figures, or graphs are not allowed.
Language Editing Requirement:
- Evidence of professional English editing must be submitted.
- If the abstract/poster has been reviewed by a certified English language expert, a testimonial or certificate of review must be attached.

Guidelines For Poster Presentation/Display
- Setup, Presentation, and Dismantling

- Posters must be mounted at the assigned panel based on the Poster ID.
- Setup Deadline: Before 12:00 PM, 24th October 2025
- Dismantling Deadline: Before 2:00 PM, 26th October 2025
- Poster Specifications
- Size: Posters must be printed in the following dimensions:
0.9 meters (W) × 1.5 meters (H) - Top Right Corner Requirements:
Please ensure the abstract title, presenter’s name, co-authors’ names, and institution(s) are clearly printed on the top right-hand side of the poster. - No need to bring scissors or tape—display tools will be provided.

- Recommended display dimensions: 0.9 m (width) × 1.5 m (height)
Submission Terms and Conditions
- Approval & Registration Requirement
- All submitted abstracts are subject to review and approval by the Scientific Committee.
- Abstracts will only be accepted upon full paid registration of the presenting author as an attendee of the 16th APCU@USM 2025.
- Originality
- Abstracts that have been previously presented—either orally or as posters—at national or international meetings will not be accepted.
- Publication Opportunity
- Accepted abstracts will be considered for publication in the BMJ: Open Heart Journal.
- Please note: Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
- Notification of Acceptance
- Authors will receive notification of acceptance or rejection via email by 3rd October 2025.
- The email will include details on presentation time, date, and venue.
- Congress Registration
- Presenting authors must complete registration before 17th October 2025 to confirm their presentation slot.
- Language Editing Requirement
- Evidence of paid or certified free English language editing must be submitted.
- If the abstract or poster has been reviewed by an English language expert, their testimonial or certificate must be attached.
- Failure to provide proof of language editing will result in disqualification from BMJ: Open Heart Journal publication.
- Ethical Approval
- All original studies must be accompanied by proof of ethical approval.
